ER Wait Time at City Hospital
We are committed to reducing wait times for our emergency room patients. Whether during the day or in the middle of the night, we work tirelessly to keep our ER wait times as low as possible.
During certain times of the year, such as during peak flu season, wait times may be higher than usual as patients deal with severe symptoms that require immediate attention.
Additionally, life-threatening trauma situations and health crises (i.e., bleeding, burns, breathing problems, falls, cardiac cases, etc.) will be treated first in order to preserve life and limb.
Your patience is greatly appreciated during times when waiting is longer than usual. You can help us reduce the wait time for those with serious medical emergencies by instead going to an urgent care clinic for non life-threatening medical care. This can help us provide swift attention to those who need it the most.
If you or a loved one experiences a health crisis, our Dallas emergency room team is here for you no matter the day or time.
What to Expect When You Visit the ER
Although an emergency room visit is usually unplanned and may not be pleasant, knowing what to expect can help alleviate any stress you may be feeling. Here are some common questions and answers to help you prepare for your visit to the ER.
Keeping Patients and Visitors Safe
The situation around COVID-19 is ever-evolving; that’s why we’re closely monitoring updates from local health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and following local and federal regulations and recommendations to ensure City Hospital remains a safe place for you or your loved one to receive care.
